See You At The Pole

14 09 2010

See You At The Pole is a national annual event in which students from all over the country gather around the flag poles of their schools for prayer and worship–to pray for their country, their families, and their schools. Students organize and run the event each year and it’s an incredible opportunity for students to connect with other Christian students at their schools, to step up as a leader on their campus, and to be a blessing to their school. This year See You At The Pole will take place on September 22, 2010. Students will gather prior to their school bell and they will pray together.

On Wednesday, September 15, students who are interested in leadership for SYATP are invited to attend a planning meeting at the FCC Youth Building (404 8th street) at 6pm. At this meeting, students will actually plan out the event that is to take place on the following Wednesday. FCC is glad to host this planning meeting with the help of several other local churches (including Calvary Chapel, Grace Community Church, Mountain View Community Church) whose leadership will also be represented there.

If you are a student and you are interested in leadership, please come on September 15. If you are not interested in leadership but you are interested in praying with other students for your school, please gather at the flag pole of your school, before class starts, on September 22.
