Haunted Trail Lock-In

12 10 2010

Our second annual Senior High Halloween Lock-in is approaching! We’ll meet at the Church Youth building at 7pm on October 29th and we’ll leave promptly for the Haunted Trail in Balboa Park. The Haunted Trail is the scariest outdoor haunted house in San Diego. The atmosphere itself is enough to give you goosebumps, not to mention the zombies and monsters hiding around every corner. Because of the frightening nature of this Haunted experience, every student will be asked to use their own discernment as to whether or not to participate. Everyone who does want to participate will be required to turn in a Haunted Trail Waiver signed by their parent/guardian.

After the Trail, we’ll return to the Youth Building at the church and spend the rest of the night playing games and watching movies. Costumes are optional but there will be a costume contest with prizes. Candy and drinks will be provided but students are allowed to bring additional candy if they want.

We acknowledge that Halloween is sometimes celebrated in all sorts of negative ways and that for some it is a symbol of something demonic and evil. But at FCC we’re all about redemption. Our celebration of Halloween will be a positive one and will, in itself, be a reminder of what’s really important in life–primarily God’s love for us. This event is $20 per person. To RSVP with Wes, please call the church office at 760-789-3348.
