Operation Christmas Child Sorting Trip 2010

15 11 2010
Next Wednesday, that’s the day before Thanksgiving, we’re heading up to Orange County to volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center. OCC is one of the projects of Samaritan’s Purse, a holistic ministry working to end poverty and spread the message of Jesus worldwide. We will be going up to Orange County to sort the donated Christmas gifts to be shipped around the world to children in need. Operation Christmas Child gives joy to so many children in need all around the world. It’s just one more step to taking back Christmas, the coming of Christ, as “good news to the poor” (Luke 4:18).
What an amazing way to start off your Thanksgiving celebration–by expressing gratitude through giving to others. We’ll leave from the church (404 8th street) at Noon on Wednesday, November 24th and we’ll be back around 8:30pm. This is an amazing opportunity to serve but spots are limited, so sign up fast! Fill out an Operation Christmas Child Volunteer Form and turn it in to Wes Ellis ASAP to sign up!
